Do you find yourself doing more at home than your husband? If so, any advice for women who are faced with a similar challenge?

Yes. To his credit, he offers and, I believe, legitimately wants to do more. However, he doesn’t see what needs to be done as easily as I do or often at all. When I see something, I do it, even if that means picking up after him. It’s easier and faster than delegating. (Funny, that’s something I constantly work on at the office as well.) I laugh that the work that needs to be done at home is like one court’s definition of pornography—I can’t define it, but I know it when I see it! Sometimes I’ll try to start a list for him, and to his credit he will often make one for himself for the weekends. But his list usually involves projects like install intercom system or blow leaves off roof. My mental list is created and checked off minute-by-minute—bring items left downstairs (including his coat and tie) upstairs, check washer (to make sure the wash he started was moved to the dryer), clean jelly off countertop (from when he made kids’ sandwiches) …
